The museum sits on Fifth Avenue between 103rd and 104th Streets, facing Central Park. Leave extra time on a Saturday evening.

Getting there

• Subway: the 6 train to 103rd Street, then walk west to Fifth Avenue (about 10 minutes).
• Bus: the M1, M2, M3 and M4 stop on Fifth and Madison Avenues near 103rd Street.
• Car: street parking is scarce. A cab or car service is easiest; drop-off is at the Fifth Avenue entrance.
• Airports: LaGuardia is closest (about 25 minutes). JFK and Newark are 45 to 75 minutes.
